That's why I wrote "(iPhone and some others)". Apple got the leadership the industry needed to go further and they will bring a new energy even if it's not that revolutionary. The cool thing about Apple iPhone is the (I hope so) perfect integration of all the applications and the easy synchronization we are used to, just like with iPods. Finally, I also think that Apple will open doors for developers to program new applications (widget or more...) which would be very interesting. You’re right, other cell phones already offer the same kind of features. That’s why I wrote “(iPhone and some others)”. It is interesting that it will probably be a product like the Apple iPhone that actually - and finally - lets travel loose on the mobile world. let's be honest here: it looks V cool and has heaps of excellent functionality, but nothing really new in terms of what other mobiles can do already. the crucial point to all this is that Apple - looks like they've done it again - have produced something that will sieze the imagination of consumers. a mass-storage, internet and email-enabled, functional mobile device that is also VERY TRENDY. like you say: it's very exciting and the possibilities are endless. All excellent stuff, Mathieu.
