I had exactly the same experience with some hotel sites in the south of France when trying to book something there.

I fear there are still many more people out there who don't appreciate the world wide web, including many hoteliers.

We just had staying a lady with us, who runs herself a couple of self catering apartments in Melbourne, Australia: "I want nothing to do wit computers" she claimed.....:-)

Hi Mathieu.

Now that you have your hotel sorted, it's time to think about what you're going to do in Spain. May I humbly suggest a quick look at the website I manage, www.viator.com. We have a few hundred tours and things to do listed in Spain. Let me know if anything looks good and I'll try to get you a discount. Happy travels.

When I visit Spain it's usually for at least 3 weeks and what I do is rent a village house in one of the white villages such as Gaucin and use it as a base to explore the region, if there's a few of you it's very cost effective.

For our next trip to Spain we're planning on renting a campervan visiting the northern part of the country.

I agree about that hotel website, there's too many like that. My rule of thumb when dealing with websites like these is, I'll persevere only if the place is exceptional.
